Velence - az a hely, ahol ránk tör a múlt. Hosszú évszázadok óta áll rendületlenül az Adria partján, a Piave és a Pó torkolatánál. Gazdagsága évszázadokon át irigyeket szült. Kemény harcok árán tartotta meg függetlenségét, önállóságát, hírnevét. A "velencei" a mai napig fogalom. A múlt pompája a mai napig sem halványult. A város óriási erőfeszítéseket tesz annak érdekében, hogy e csodálatos város minél tovább a Világörökség része maradhasson.

Venice had to fight a lot for its independence and reputation. Venetians are proud of their "being Venetian". The city has a great magnificence nowadays, too. The city makes big efforts to preserve itself for the future, as the part of UNESCO World Heritage.
